1). George Norman T enlisted 25 May 1861 at Memphis, TN in Co L, 5th Tenn Infantry Regt. Ann Barbara Leip Taylor his wife applied for his pension 1912. Granted pension 2297 in Oct 1912. After the death of Abagail George N married a sister of Abagail s Sarah E Dalton Smith. No record of a divorce for Sarah and George found in MO. 82013.ftw George and wife, Barbara Ann Leip Taylor gave 3 4 acres of land to the School District in Fulton Co., Ky. and from that the Taylor School was built in N W 1 4 Sec. Twp. 1 R 3 W from the 1914 map in Fulton Co. Court House. Taylors and Leips.FTW In the 1870 Census he is list as George N., 44 years of age, farmer, born in Virginia. It also shows that his mother in law, listed as Mary Lipe age 80 lived with him and Anna Barbara. The Fulton Hickman Genealogical Journal 1992 Volume 8 No. 1 pg. 29. Abstracts, Fulton Co.Wills page 184. G.N. Taylor wrote will 29 Oct 1883. Son John, lives somewhere in MO, wife Barby Taylor, daughters Sarah Ann Leip, Martha Jane Lane, executor Barbery taylor. Witnesses W.N. Smith and C. Arrington. Proven accepted by court 14 April 1884. Evidently George and Sarah divorced, since she lived until 1927 and he married Anna Barbara Leip in 1863 roper.taylor.FTW
2). Taylors and Leips.FTW In the 1840 Census she was listed as under 5. In the 1850 Census she was listed as Barbera, 13 years of age, and born in Germany. In th1860 Census she was listed as Barberry Leah, 20, f. In the 1870 Census she was listed as Anna B. Leip, age 33, born in Baden Germany. Her occupation was Wife and just above her name was George N. Taylor. He was shown as being a farmer and husband. Sallie and Jennie were George s daughters and Barbara s step children. They had a brother, John, also who continued to live in Missouri when his father came to Kentucky. On November 30, 1868 Mary Anna Leip presented a Bible to her sister, Anna Barbary Leip Taylor. It is likely that Marry Anna Leip was the wife of Nickolas Leip. Frederick s wife was Ellen, George s wife was Martha and married Elizabeth.
