According to an article in the book Old Reynolds , published by the Reynolds County Courier in 1977, by Jel and Ernenstine Gastineau Botkin, James Morandaham was one of Reynolds County s most respected citizens and a pioneer in the county. He was in the saw mill business as well as a farmer. He also served a two year term as Sheriff in 1901 and 1902 and then as Constable of Reynolds County for some years after that. He died at age 70, 8 months and 17 days. He and his wife, Lucy Jane Wible Botkin are both buried in the Bee Fork Cemetery in Reynolds County Missouri.
