NOTES
1). B D & D D furnished Aggie Birdwell in a letter dtd 28 Aug. 1974 by Miss Doll Birdwell further information from notes of HDL according to phone conversation with Effie N. Birdwell in May 1990 Samuel Raised the children of his brother Benjamin Franklin Birdwell after he died and left them as orphans. HDL Book p. 59 Moved to Texas with parents between Aug. 1839 and Jan 1840 was in Texas in time to get a III class land grant. Feb 1841 he owned land 3 miles north of Minden, Tx. and 7 miles south of Henderson, TX. Later moved to Tarrant Co. TX with his widowed mother. He removed to Palo Pinto County, TX about 12 miles from Mineral Wells, TX.
